In most cases, the law protects the information discussed between a client and counselor. This information can not be released without written permission from the client.

2.   Are there limits to confidentiality?

There are limits to confidentiality and these include:
•   child or elder abuse
•   homicidal threats
•   suicidal threats

These will be discussed at length during the first session.

3.   How many sessions will I need?

This varies from client to client. The number of sessions will depend on the issue or issues that the client presents in counseling.
